Hong Kong actor-turned-producer Andy Lau attended a promotional event for his upcoming action film, Firestorm, with director Alan Yuen and co-stars Gordon Lam, Yao Chen and Hu Jun in Beijing yesterday.
Dressed in a black leather pinafore dress, Chinese actress Yao Chen showed off a trimmer figure after giving birth to a baby boy in July this year. Exuding an air of happiness, the 34-year-old mother excitedly revealed, “Director Alan Yuen is quite an accurate foreteller. He said I’ll get pregnant when I was filming with him, and I really did.”
Upon hearing that, Andy, who was recently rumoured to be trying for a second child, turned to Alan and hinted for a baby prophecy, “I know everyone wants to know when.”
After which, the 51-year-old actor laughingly suggested that he should couple up again with good friend and actor, Gordon Lam, in his next movie.

Rumours are rife that Andy Hui has successfully proposed to Sammi Cheng recently and that the two will tie the knot early next year, after the celeb couple was recently spotted shopping at a furniture store in Central, Hong Kong.
The couple, who started cohabiting in July when Sammi was ordered to vacate from her condo, was seen browsing through lightings and wall decorations at the store.
Although they were at a public place, the lovebirds behaved intimately, whispering jokes into each other’s ears each time they spotted an interesting item in the shop.
Andy and Sammi left the store separately 30 minutes later, when a store assistant informed the couple of reporters waiting outside.

Yesterday, Jam Hsiao held a press conference at the scene where he was thrown packets of faeces by two masked men on Monday. The singer escaped the attack thanks to his quick reflexes, but his driver was less fortunate and got dragged 20m along the road by the perpetrators’ motorcycle while chasing after them.
According to Jam’s manager, Summer, the singer has been receiving threatening phone calls for the past three months. Initially, they chose not to make a big fuss out of it to prevent any unnecessary controversy.
Still reeling in anger, Jam said that he is “very certain” that the attack was directed at him. “It’s terrible and outrageous! I can even reasonably suspect who is the culprit,” he added.
Nevertheless, Jam emphasised that he does not have a feud with anyone, and that there are no problems at work or with his management contract.
Although he declined to reveal more details, the 26-year-old, who felt especially unjust for his colleague who got implicated in the incident, pointed out that he has “sufficient evidence” to prove the identity of the mastermind.
“I hope the person who used money to instigate others will receive his deserved punishment. I want them to regret their actions!”
On the other hand, Jam’s infamous obsessive Japanese fan, Yuki, also responded to the allegations which claimed that she was involved in the attack. “I’m vacationing in Indonesia right now and I have no idea what’s happening. I can’t do anything about what others think,” she said.

Malaysian singer-songwriter, Gary Chaw became talk of the town after his recent drunken outburst at a concert last Sunday.
According to Taiwanese media reports, the 34-year-old singer had a few beers prior to his performance and was in a bad mood after his wife, Wu Sou Ling, reportedly left home with the children on Monday.
An insider later revealed that her departure was due to Gary’s repeated drunken fit at Jimmy Lin’s wedding in July earlier this year.
“She (Wu Sou Ling) was really disappointed and embarrassed when Gary had to be hauled off the wedding ceremony,” said the insider, sparking speculations that the couple might be heading for a divorce.
In response to the rumours, Gary’s manager clarified, “It’s really not that serious. Gary is having a lot of stress at work recently and it’s perfectly normal for couples to quarrel.”

Hong Kong action star, Donnie Yen, shared a brief marriage with Liang Jing Ci prior to his loving relationship with former beauty queen and current wife, Cecilia Wang. According to media reports, Donnie had a son with his ex-wife and has refused to visit him when the latter was admitted in the hospital for an emergency lung surgery last week.
His 18-year-old son, Jeff, was said to have suffered severe chest pains in the middle of the night and needed immediate medical help.
Unlike his usual loving father image with his two other children, Jasmine and James, Donnie reportedly declined to head to the hospital when Jing Ci called him for help.
Sources revealed that Jing Ci was spotted crying helplessly in the hospital after repeated rejections from the actor.
When asked about her husband’s cold attitude to his own son, Cecilia shunned reporters with a hasty reply, “These are very private questions. I’ll not answer them.”

“You may judge, criticise, and make fun of me because you have every right to (do so),” wrote the Malaysian singer, Gary Chaw, on his Facebook yesterday after making the headlines for a drunken outburst at Xi’an Riverside last weekend.
The 34-year-old singer also confessed that he is indeed undergoing the worst time of his life now, and added, “If you can't handle it, then I'm pretty sure you don't deserve the best of me that's coming in the future. I can't change myself so (that) you will like me, I just wish that the right person will come (along) to like me for who I am.”
Meanwhile, Gary’s wife Wu Sou Ling, who reportedly left home with the children on Monday, recently expressed her willingness to give the singer a second chance on the account of their two young children and if he seeks psychological help for his binge drinking ways.
In her interview with the Taiwanese media on Wednesday, she stressed that Gary is a very good husband and father when he is sober but revealed, “He tends to keep mum about his troubles and relied on alcohol to fix things. I’ve previously asked him to visit a psychologist but he refused.”
When asked about her plans if Gary gets involved in another drunken incident, she replied, “Our marriage could be at risk if it happens again. It’ll be very difficult to live together for the rest of our lives.”

Following the recent verbal embroilment where Jackie Chan was criticised for “wanting to see natural disasters happening in some countries”, the Hong Kong stuntman made headlines again, this time over his illegitimate daughter.
Speaking at the Police Story 2013 movie press conference which the star starred in, the 59-year-old said he felt for his daughter, Etta Ng, as the plot similarly talked about a busy father neglecting his daughter.
“The story struck a chord in me, especially during the crying scenes. I teared naturally because I was reminded of my Xiao Long Nu (the nickname given to his daughter by the media). I have neglected her for the longest time.”
This came as a rare moment of truth as Jackie has always dodged questions relating to this illegitimate daughter, and even once said his “infidelity is a mistake all men make”.
The Hong Kong star also seized the chance to direct some feelings he had for his son, Jaycee Chan, adding: “I wish to tell Jaycee that I wasn’t leading a life of debauchery back in those days when I was filming in the US. I was in fact working hard!”
Reports have it that Etta Ng (aka Xiao Long Nu) is now 14-year-old and lives only with her mother, Elaine Ng.

Wedding bells are finally ringing for Hong Kong singer-actor Kenny Bee and his long-time girlfriend Fan Jiang.
At an event in Macau yesterday, Kenny said that he has given his lover a “small gift”, which turned out to be a hefty five-carat diamond ring. “It represents many things. I want to thank her for the support all these years,” he explained.
When asked if he had proposed with the ring, the 60-year-old remained tight lipped and teased, “I’m not saying!”
During the interview, however, Fan Jiang spilled the beans by admitting that the ring is indeed an engagement ring. “Yes, I’ve accepted his proposal. But we have yet to decide on the date. It should be next year,” she added.
Fan Jiang, who was presented with a birthday cake during the event, jokingly said that their daughter, Chung Yee, has been urging the couple to tie the knot. As for her birthday wish, the 40-year-old hopes to “continue being happy”.

The couple were all smiles as they left the airport and went back to their HK$30 million new home in The Beverly Hills located in Tai Po. Although Aimee's belly is growing bigger, nothing is taboo for the Westernized Aimee. The next day after her return to HK, she just couldn't sit still, so she drove herself for an outing, and got into an accident involving 4 cars! Fortunately, Aimee and her unborn baby were fine.
Yesterday afternoon at around 3pm, the pregnant Aimee was driving along the slow lane on Ting Kok Road in Tai Po. It appeared she was driving home, but when she got to the traffic light near Fortune Garden, the tailgating car behind her suddenly changed lanes and ended up hitting Aimee's car and other cars. The tailgater caused an accident involving 4 cars and obstructed traffic. When the police got to the scene, Aimee expressed to the officer that she was not feeling well. Aimee was sent to the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on an ambulance.

Initially he was supposed to attend a function that afternoon, but when he learned about his wife's accident, of course he cancelled and went to see his wife. The worried Moses rushed to the hospital, fortunately Aimee was fine, she was just feeling a little unwell at the time of the accident. Aimee can discharge from the hospital tomorrow. Hangeng reveals his reasons for leaving Super Junior
Former Super Junior member Hangeng recently talked about his leaving the group on an interview with a Chinese music program.
He revealed his reason for debuting: "The most important thing to me was making money so my parents could live comfortably, and that was also the greatest motive."
However, he encountered several problems:
"I was not able to stand on stage even after debuting. I was the first foreign celebrity to debut in Korea so the law was not perfect. I could not film commercials and could not participate in certain portions of the schedule. It felt like I had lost all hope. I cried performing 'Twins' with the Super Junior members. I received a payment of 4000 yuan (~$650 USD) my first year.
I gathered money like it was life or death because seeing my mother suffer made my heart ache. Although I debuted in 2005, I became a rookie all over again in 2008 when 'Super Junior-M' debuted in China. I was comfortable in China, but at the same time, I was tired of the fact that the Korean members I was doing activities with were unable to speak Chinese. My head hurt because of them."
Hangeng concluded, "I wanted to be an actor, but they did not give me any acting gigs while they gave them to the other members. I didn't even get any commercials. Those dissatisfactions kept gathering until they became a bomb. I took all of my bank accounts, hospital records, and more and went to a law office to prepare a lawsuit against the company secretly. So the company wouldn't suspect anything, I communicated with my manager via mail, secretly went to the law office when there were around two free hours after completing my schedule, and at the time, it was an unimaginable thing for me."
However, Hangeng's behavior made Super Junior fans indignant in the past because they believed it was not courteous to the other members.
Netizens meanwhile wrote, "To say it was for money. Would he have done it because he was ambitious for money. He must've done this because he wasn't paid what he deserved by SM. Was this the case for H.O.T. too?", "First Foreign celebrity? That's not true?", and "4000 yuan, he endured hardships in his debut to earn around 700,000 KRW. He tried hard to cast off the rookie label only to debut as a rookie again. Things like this are the reason TVXQ broke up."

Following the departure of several A-list actors from TVB, Michael Tse recently revealed that he has also decided not to renew his contract with the station.
“Actually I’ve already left [TVB] for two months. I have set up my own company named ‘Laughing Workshop’, and I think I’ll have more freedom this way,” he said.
The actor, whose popularity soared after his role as “Laughing Gor” in 2009’s Emergency Unit, admitted in an interview that his decision was partly due to the lack of recognition from the company.
“’Laughing Gor’ was such a popular character and I won many awards in China because of it. And yet, I didn’t manage to win anything back home,” he lamented. “I would be lying if I say I’m not disappointed. I can only improve my EQ and learn to accept reality.”
The 46-year-old, however, emphasised that awards are not the only reason behind his decision to end his 15-year working relationship with TVB, and that he is still on good terms with his former company.
In addition, Michael also shared his plans to venture into the Chinese market in the near future. “I’ll take the chance to see what’s in stall over there, but I won’t give up on the Hong Kong market as well. It all depends on opportunities,” he reiterated.
